While Conan Gray and Olivia Rodrigo are sweeping the music industry with one smash tune after another, we are just as smitten with their adorable friendship.
It’s interesting to note that the two pop singers first bonded over music. They enjoy the same producer, Dan Nigro, and enjoy Taylor Swift’s music as well.
Swift enlisted Rodrigo and Gray to support the release of her re-recorded Fearless album in April 2021 after raving about the “Cardigan” vocalist in numerous interviews and live performances.
The pair has already provided us with numerous glimpses into their romantic relationship, including attending Halloween parties together, promoting each other’s songs, and hanging out at award ceremonies like the 2021 American Music Awards.
Rodrigo said to Captial, “We’re just friends, and I think he’s very bright.”

April 8, 2022: Conan Gray and Olivia Rodrigo share the stage
Gray joined Rodrigo on stage to perform “The One That Got Away” by Katy Perry during a stop on her Sour Tour in Vancouver.
Following the event, Gray told PEOPLE, “Being able to sing together was a truly beautiful moment. “It [was] an amazing pleasure to see her talent in front of my eyes for the first time since she is so talented. I have never seen her in person.” Even while he acknowledged that “there’s nothing in talks” regarding a formal partnership, they were glad to be able to perform on stage together.
Rodrigo and Gray also recorded a popular TikTok video when they were at the concert venue, recreating a scene from Twilight, a movie that the “Brutal” singer has frequently expressed her admiration for.
