The purchase of a marquee trade deadline In a win over the Houston Astros on Wednesday, Los Angeles Dodgers newcomer Max Scherzer made an impressive debut.
That high-stakes two-game series necessitated a day off.
The Los Angeles Dodgers will host the Los Angeles Angels for a three-game series in the Freeway Series on Friday.
Shohei Ohtani will not be pitching this weekend, for better or worse. It would be wonderful to meet him… A 55-54 record, however, has been achieved despite Mike Trout missing most of the year, and it would be nice not to see their finest pitcher in action.
The Dodgers, meantime, are seeing MVP candidate Mookie Betts slowly return to form after being sidelined by injury for much of the season and have added Scherzer and Cole Hamels to their starting rotation.
There is still a lot of work to be done in the NL West and the AL Wild Card chase for both LA and the Angels.

Dodgers vs Angels Odds Today
We’ve partnered with WynnBet, which has the Dodgers at -225 on the Moneyline (bet $225 to win $100) compared to the Angels at +175 (bet $100 to win $175). Check out the run line if you want to gamble on the Dodgers but the price is too high.
For the defending champions to win by two runs or more, they are -1.5 at -105 (bet $105 to win $100). When you bet $116 to win $100, the Angels have a +1.5 run differential at -116.
The total is 8.5 runs, with the over at -105 (bet $105 to win $100) and the under at -116 (bet $116 to win $100). The under is the better option. Place your wagers!
Dodgers Pitcher Today
Angels pitcher Patrick Sandoval faces David Price (4-1, 3.55 ERA) for the first time (3-5, 3.38 ERA). Despite starting just eight games this season, Price has performed better than expected when taking the field for the Los Angeles Rams. Just look at his starter vs. reliever slash lines!
- As starters – opponents hitting .244 with .695 OPS
- As relievers – opponents hitting .323 with .836 OPS
There’s also the fact that Sandoval is enjoying a great year as a left-hander. His ERA and WHIP have dropped dramatically, and he’s seen an increase in strikeouts, as he’s already surpassed his season-high innings total. Left-handed hitters batting.141 and.479 OPS against him is a thing of the past.

Dodgers vs Angels Prediction Today
We can’t help but think that the Dodgers’ chances of winning a bullpen game are little to none. With their erratic offense on top of that, it’s easy to see why they’d have trouble against a left-handed starter.
Although the Angels’ offense has been inconsistent, they have been able to take advantage of poor pitching matchups to win. Sadly, that may be the case tonight. It’s not a good idea to wager so heavily on the Dodgers when one of their best pitchers is unavailable.
