‘Erased’ Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

Boku Dake ga Inai Machi, or The Town Where Only I Am Missing, is a mystery and supernatural anime that premiered in 2016.
In collaboration with Fuji TV’s Noitamina, A-1 Pictures has created this animated series. An online simulcast broadcast on Crunchyroll, Daisuki, Funimation, and AnimeLab from January 8 to March 25, 2016. Based on Kei Sanbe’s manga series of the same name, this film is a visual treat.

Netflix’s decision to stream ‘Erased,’ which finished airing in 2006, brought in new viewers half a decade after the anime had ended. In the last few years, the streamer has put a lot of effort into enhancing their anime selection. What does this mean for a fresh season of “Erased”? Find out with us.

‘Erased’ has not yet been renewed for a second season. Furthermore, it’s not certain if the show will ever get a second season. After five years, the anime’s final episode aired on television. We don’t know if Netflix’s new fan base will be enough to get a second season of the anime greenlit.

In April of 2016, the original manga series came to an end. In March 2016, both the anime and the live-action feature adaptation were released. Only the live-action film adaptation, according to Crunchyroll, stayed true to the manga’s original ending. Despite this, anime remains popular.

When Will ‘Erased’ Season 2 Release?

Season 2 has yet to be officially confirmed, hence there is no release date.

If the revived interest in the anime leads to a second season, it won’t be out until late 2022 at the earliest.

What Is The Plot Of ‘Erased’?

It is the narrative of Satoru Fujinuma, an 18-year-old young man from the Chiba prefecture in Japan, who has a unique ability known as “Revival,” which allows him to travel back in time and avoid certain disasters. He can prevent fatal accidents from occurring again because of this skill. One of Satoru’s childhood pals has been kidnapped and three of his friends have been killed, and he has a second chance to save his mother from an unknown assailant.

Even though the anime didn’t follow the manga’s plot exactly, it had a satisfying conclusion and solved all the questions. Writers will have to come up with a new plot if there is a second season. Satoru may be tasked with solving a new puzzle or preventing a fresh crime. Whatever it is, it logically revolves around his ability to travel back in time.

A follow-up novel to ‘Erased’ delves deeper into the events that followed. Season 2 could benefit from this season’s focus on the killer’s motivations.

Who Is Cast In ‘Erased’ Season 2?

Season 2’s cast has yet to be announced because we are awaiting an official renewal. The new season’s plot will dictate the cast roster. A character who appears in two separate timelines in the first season of “Erased” has two different voice actors. Even if the anime is renewed, it may not be the case.

In the English dub, Ben Diskin plays Satoru at the age of 29, while Michelle Ruff plays him at the age of ten.

One of the most well-known voice actors in the anime industry, Diskin has appeared in popular titles such as “Boruto” and “Naruto: Shippûden.” Akira and Lupin the Third both featured Ruff as Kaori and Fujiko Mine respectively.

If ‘Erased’ is renewed for a second season, both actors are almost certain to return.

For the time being, no. Season 2 has yet to be officially announced. Netflix and other anime streaming providers still have the show available for viewing. While we wait for additional information, here is the season 1 trailer.
