Netflix Japan Anime’s Twitter account confirmed Kengan Ashura’s comeback on March 23, 2022.
Does the story need another part?
Kengan Ashura is in desperate need of extra pieces.
In the second round, Ohma defeated Raina to advance to the third round/quarter-finals. After the quarterfinals, there’s still a lot more tale to tell, given that there are two more rounds left: the semi-finals and the final.
Before Kengan Ashura comes to an end, there is room for at least two more sections.
When is the Netflix release date for Kengan Ashura?
Considering it has been two and a half years since we last saw Kengan Ashura on Netflix, and now that renewal is confirmed, it’s still hard to determine if part 3 has been in production before the renewal announcement.
If production has only just begun on part 3, then Netflix subscribers will have to continue the long wait for more episodes, and likely until sometime in 2024.
Assuming that work on the animation has already begun, we can expect to see part 3 of the series on Netflix before the end of 2023, now that the series has been renewed.
