What You Need to Know Before Going to Lollapalooza 2022: The Most Recent Rules and Guidelines!

Lollapalooza 2022

Lollapalooza 2022 Lineup: After the triumphant return of hip-Rolling hop’s Loud Miami, one of the biggest music festivals in the United States, Lollapalooza, is quickly approaching. While everyone is starting to get ready to leave (remember what we said about how important it is to plan? ), this year’s excitement is tinged with caution.

It was the first time since 2005 that Lollapalooza didn’t take place in Chicago’s Grant Park due to the Covid-19 convention. It’s hard to imagine Grant Park packed with nearly 100,000 attendees again this year, even after fans have scrambled to secure tickets, given the rise in cases caused by the Omicron BA.5 variant and vaccine hesitancy.

Although a negative Covid-19 test or vaccine card is not required for Lollapalooza 2022, the festival will still operate at capacity. But don’t worry; we’ve got you covered with a complete guide for everything you need to know to make your festival comeback at Lollapalooza as memorable (and safe) as possible, in addition to some tips we’ve shared before for packing for your any major festival weekend (from where to get a non-sweaty face mask, to festival-ready cameras).

Lollapalooza 2022 Lineup Ticket Information

Obtain your tickets at once, please (or your festival passes, in this case). Lollapalooza tickets went on sale in March on the festival’s official website, but that’s no reason to panic and start looking for them on shady websites or from your cousin who “knows a guy.

” Lollapalooza tickets, including weekend passes, single-day tickets, and VIP packages, are all available for purchase on Vivid Seats’ secure website. Ticket purchases from Vivid Seats are 100% guaranteed to be genuine or your money back.

Lollapalooza 2022 Lineup and Basic Info

Now that you have the passes and can cross that item off your list, here is some information about the festival in 2022. It will be held in Grant Park, Chicago, from Thursday, July 28, through Sunday, July 31, for four days.

On Thursday, the evening sets will feature Lil Baby, Metallica, Caroline Polacheck, and Zhu. Attendees can see King Princess, Wet Leg, Dua Lipa, and Machine Gun Kelly, among others, on Friday. J. Cole, Willow, Turnstile, and Gayle will all perform on Saturday, and Green Day and J-Hope will be the headliners on Sunday.

You can find the latest festival map, in addition to details on renting VIP food and drink accommodations and exclusive Cabanas. The weekend schedule is posted here officially and features 170 performances across eight stages.

Lollapalooza, in line with the majority of festivals this year, has relaxed its health and safety guidelines to no longer require proof of complete vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test. Lacking in some vaccinations? You should still be able to go, but the CDC recommends that you bring a mask to protect your face.

Lollapalooza can’t require proof of immunization, so if you’re not vaccinated, you’ll have to trust that you’ll keep your mask on throughout the festival. But if you take care (like getting all your shots in advance), you can lessen the odds of bad things happening and still have a blast.

All of this is to say that if you aren’t quite ready to be crammed in with tens of thousands of sweaty people or are still worried about the BA.5 variant, you can still enjoy Lollapalooza 2022 in its entirety without leaving the comfort of your own home. This year, Lollapalooza will be broadcast exclusively on Hulu.

How to Stay Safe at Lollapalooza Lineup

You have every right to be nervous about exposing your sweaty body to thousands of total strangers again. CovidActNow reports that the Covid-19 risk level is currently “high” in the Chicago Metropolitan Area, despite the area’s current vaccination rate of 79.3 percent (of at least one dose). However, if you’ve recently gotten a vaccination, you’re much safer than if you hadn’t. Any travel is strongly discouraged unless vaccinations have been completed.

The goal should be to minimize potential adverse effects, and you can do this by taking certain precautions. You should wait at least two weeks after your second dose of the Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccine before attending Lollapalooza.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently released new guidelines recommending that people in areas of substantial or high transmission should still wear masks while in public indoors. Maintain your mask if you must remain near other people for an extended period, such as in an artist’s entire set. Outside, where air circulation keeps the spread of disease to a minimum, it’s best to keep your distance while strolling the grounds.

In addition to the risk of contracting Covid-19, there are the everyday hazards associated with attending a large festival, such as sunburn, heat exhaustion, cuts, burns, food poisoning, etc. Six medical tents, including the Soberside and Hope For The Day tents, will be staffed by doctors, paramedics, and EMTs during Lollapalooza.

Masks are also freely available at the entrances, guest services, and medical tents. More hand sanitizers will be available at various points around the facility, and the cleaning staff will focus on high-traffic areas. Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Lurie Children’s Hospital are just two of the regional hospitals that are conveniently located within a few miles. If you have serious symptoms, you should always go to a doctor or the nearest hospital to get checked out.
