Raising Dion (Season 3): Release Date Status, Confirmed And Cancelled ?

Dion’s second season will be back in February 2022, but the cancellation of your beloved show is the worst thing that has ever happened to you.

In addition to the narrative details already known, the cast of Raising Dion season 3 has been made aware via social media of the show’s cancellation. A recent post on Raising Dion’s Facebook page stated that the show had been canceled after two seasons.

Amazon Studios and Outlier Society collaborated on the upcoming series Raising Dion, which is being produced by Michel B. Jordan and set to premiere in early 2021. All of the cast members that had previously been in the series returned, including Dion Warren, Nicole Warren, Pat Rollins, and Sammy Haney.

Since the show premiered on January 1st, October of 2019, we had no idea how long we had to wait for Raising Dion to return on February 1st, 2022, which is when the year 2022 began.

Raising Dion (Season 3): Renewal  Status on Netflix

According to a report released by the network on April 26, the show has been canceled. On the 26th of April, Sammy Haney, who played Esperanza on Netflix’s Raising Dion, stated that the show had been canceled.

She posted the following picture on Instagram:

Sorry to inform you that Raising Dion has been POSTPONED. We couldn’t have done it without all of you, our lovely fans! Season 2 was just as successful as Season 1, if only by the number of individuals who watched the entire season and expressed their desire for a third season!
Because of this, I’ll be able to seek additional roles in the future.

Because of my Netflix contract, I was unable to accept any additional prominent roles on other television shows! Let me know if you work for a major studio, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible!

On a display of this magnitude, the performance looked to be a terrible thing. The gap between seasons 1 and 2 may have contributed to the dramatic decline in viewing, but we’ll look at how it also prompted some viewers to tune in for the first time.

Raising Dion’s social media sites went dark on February 1st, which was bad news for the show as it moves forward in the ratings. If they have a modest following, this does not necessarily mean that they have stopped using marketing efforts.

Raising Dion (Season 2): Netflix Performance

We’re grateful to Netflix’s Top 10 site for providing us with some useful information on the show’s popularity and the number of hours people watched it.

Raising Dion 2 received over 100,000,000 hours of Netflix viewing in its first 26 days, or 108.75 million to be exact.

The following is the complete list:

Week Period Hours Viewed(M) Rank Week in Top 10
January 30th, 2022 to February 6th, 2022 49,090,000 2 1
February 6th, 2022 to February 13th, 2022 30,350,000 (-38%) 3 2
February 13th, 2022 to February 20th, 2022 17,550,000 (-42%) 5 3
February 20th, 2022 to February 27th, 2022 11,760,000 (-33%) 9 4

Between February 28th and March 6th, the series had fallen out of the top 10 in the global rankings, suggesting that it had logged less than 9.1 million hours that week.

Sadly, we can’t even compare season 1’s hourly data to season 2’s because Netflix gives us different stats for each season. More than 32 million people have viewed the first 28 days of the inaugural season, with 60 percent of those viewers coming from outside the United States.

FlixPatrol data, which captures the raw top 10 positions for any given day around the world, shows that the show held its place well in the first week before deteriorating substantially after February 12th.

The fact that the show’s first-season audience grew during the run of season 2 is also critical to the show’s survival. As a result, it’s crucial to note that the second season’s release drew in new viewers, and there’s little doubt that some of those viewers are rewatching enough to deserve the show’s renewal.

Week Period Hours Viewed(M) Rank Week in Top 10
January 30th, 2022 to February 6th, 2022 26,460,000 6 1
February 6th, 2022 to February 13th, 2022 23,520,000 (-11%) 5 2
February 13th, 2022 to February 20th, 2022 14,140,000 (-40%) 8 3

We can get a sense of how popular the series is from the IMDbPro database. IMDb had more than half a billion page views for the month, making it a good indicator of the show’s popularity.

The first season of Raising Dion peaked at #17 on the IMDb Moviemeter, however, the second season did not. Season 2 appears to be at #68 as well.

Raising Dion (Season 3): Expectation

We saw Dion and Nicole face up against a ‘familiar’ villain and his army of minions in the last episode of Season 2.

With a final-credit scene featuring Jason Ritter and his arm peering over Atlanta, sayingi9nfg that its history and the Mind Mover then enter the scene, the series comes to a close.

Given how far in the future this scene takes place and how much territory Dion and Pat still have to travel, it’s conceivable that they’ll engage in some kind of face-off.

Kat’s role in Biona’s science department is also rumored to have a role in the development of a cure for these superpowers.

Raising Dion Season 3

According to a Redditor, “I like the concept of skipping time at least another year for the following season,” there could be a year’s worth of time between seasons 2 and 3. A more mature and self-assured Dion, I’m hoping, will emerge in Season 3. And with any luck, he, Tevin, and Janelle will have all improved their abilities by the time he gets back.”

Collider has raised a slew of new ones:

  • Mark is still Alive?
  • How Pat had survived:
  • What happens to Brayden now?
  • What is the meaning of the End Credits Scene?

It’s true that, when young Ja’Siah Young grows older, a significant change would be necessitated. One of the biggest concerns is whether or not future seasons will allow us to see the show’s essence at a faster pace.
