It appears like the release timetable for Rick and Morty could settle into a more predictable pattern now that the makers are free to create new episodes without having to wait for renewal.
The broadcaster announced a 2022 premiere at Rick and Morty’s exclusive panel at the Adult Swim Festival 2021 in November (via ScreenRant). That was the closest we got to a certain date, although season six might conceivably debut in the summer of 2022, one year after season five concluded.
With the announcement (via ComicBook) that we’ll get our first peek at season six during the in-person event, 2022’s Adult Swim Block Party offers even more crucial information. After season five, Mr. Poopybutthole also reappeared, so we anticipate Justin Roiland will likely play this character again at some point in the future, even if it’s just to provide another annual update on his love life.
Rick and Morty Season 6 Plot: What Will It Be About?
We hope that future stories will be more like “Mortyplicity” and less like “Rickdependence Spray,” which is still arguably the most stupid Rick and Morty episode to date, even though there are currently no plot details for season six available.
