The Big Sick Review

The movie has several funny and touching moments, but it also allows us to see the racism that Kumail faces. The film captures the couple at a vulnerable and pivotal moment in their relationship. It demonstrates the entertaining chemistry they share, which only improves as the movie unfolds. It’s an upbeat film that emphasizes genuine connections between people rather than dramatic turns or flashy climaxes.

The story is given a new spin by including controlling, emotional parents. Yet, the warmth of Kumail and Emily’s parents’ bond will win your heart. It’s heartening to see the three persons on the bed sharing a connection through Emily going from being icy to warming up to each other.
