Tiny Pretty Things Season 2 – What We Know So Far!

With themes of crime, secrets, and fierce competition, “Tiny Pretty Things” is an engrossing drama series suitable for binge-watching by everyone. Michael MacLennan devised the series, which is based on Sona Charaipotra and Dhonielle Clayton’s novel of the same name. It follows Neveah Stroyer (Kylie Jefferson), who wins a full scholarship at the Archer School, a prominent dance school in Chicago after a spot becomes available. As Neveah enters the competitive world, she quickly learns that she was accepted because the dancer who previously held her position is now in a coma following an attack that culminated in her falling from a four-story building.

The 10-episode first season of this Netflix original premiered in mid-December 2020. After a startling cliffhanger, viewers are left wondering when the next season will be released. The following is what we currently know regarding the second season of “Tiny Pretty Things.”

When will Season 2 of Tiny Pretty Things be released?

“Tiny Pretty Things” has not been renewed for a second season at this time. Even though the series has not been renewed yet, there is still time for it to receive Season 2 confirmation; four months after its release date may seem excessively long to go without news of a renewal, but COVID-19 has affected nearly every television show and film production, so the news may be a little behind. Additionally, a renewal appears plausible given how quickly “Tiny Pretty Things” rose to the top of Netflix’s trending series following its premiere (via PureWow).

Unfortunately, if the show does receive a renewal, it may be some time before a second season is released. The first season took nearly a year from announcement to release, and if that is any indication, viewers will likely have to wait the same amount of time for future episodes (via Marie-Claire). Specifically, the second season might premiere in 2022, depending on when Netflix announces a renewal.

A longer production may be necessary to accommodate the exquisite detail required to create the most realistic dance school atmosphere imaginable. Jennifer Nichols, the season’s principal choreographer, and ballet consultant spoke with Dance Spirit about the process of depicting the dance world realistically.

According to Nichols, “The team conferred on the final appearance of the shoe room, the studio’s setup, and the proper way to knot a pointe shoe ribbon… I was concerned that we wouldn’t have enough time or money to do it properly, yet it was never pushed aside.” Between the attention to set design and the time required to choreograph and practice the routines (which are all done by cast members, not body doubles, as Nichols also emphasizes), a “Tiny Pretty Things” production requires a significant amount of time.

Who will be in Season 2 of Tiny Pretty Things?

All of the major cast members are expected to return for the second season of “Tiny Pretty Things.” Apart from Neveah, other major characters include her first roommate at Archer School, Shane (Brennan Close), who is openly gay but secretly sleeps with his roommate, and June (Daniela Norman), Neveah’s new roommate who formerly shared a room with Cassie. Additionally, Bette (Casimere Jollette) regards Neveah as a rival. Bette frequently feels forgotten by her older sister, Delia (Tory Trowbridge), a professional dancer who has already graduated from Archer School. And the show’s other adults include Ramon (Bayardo De Murguia), a renowned choreographer, and Monique (Lauren Holly), the Archer School’s director who is secretly having an affair with a pupil.

Cassie (Anna Maiche), whose presence is critical to the plot of the story, spent the majority of the season in a coma before regaining consciousness in the seventh episode, just as her family was prepared to remove her from life support. She will almost certainly play a larger role in the second season, particularly in the aftermath of her tragic event.

What will Season 2 of Tiny Pretty Things be about?

Cassie’s coma reversal enabled her to confirm that her fall was not an accident. Soon after, the identity of the person who shoved her became clear: Delia. Delia was in love with Ramon, who was having an affair with Cassie, and in a moment of jealousy and wrath, Delia acted out against Cassie. Additionally, the plot becomes more difficult when Delia frames her sister Bette and their mother is fully aware of it. All of this provides more than enough unresolved drama for a second season — but to take it a step further, another unexplained crime is added to the mix. In the Season 1 finale’s last moments, it is revealed that Ramon has been stabbed. Ramon is shown laying on the ground with a knife in his chest and blood collecting around the wound in the final scene.

The second season is expected to pick up directly where the first concluded, with the mystery of who stabbed Ramon presumably at the forefront. Additionally, the novel on which the production is based has a sequel, named “Shiny Broken Pieces,” that follows the characters as they compete for a seat in the American Ballet Company. Between the setup in Season 1 and the source material from the second novel, the upcoming season of “Tiny Pretty Things” will cover a lot of ground.
